Roof Replacement — Done Right, Done Once

Most roofing companies will lay new shingles over your old ones. We don't. We tear off everything down to the decking, inspect every inch of your roof structure, replace any damaged decking, and build up from a clean foundation. It takes more time. It costs more material. And it means your roof will last 25–40 years instead of failing prematurely.

We install GAF Timberline HDZ and CertainTeed Landmark Pro architectural shingles — the same materials that carry the longest manufacturer warranties in the industry. Every installation is performed by our own certified crews, never subcontracted.

Full tear-off and decking inspection included
Ice & water shield on all valleys and eaves
Synthetic underlayment throughout
Ridge vent ventilation system for energy efficiency
Magnetic nail sweep of entire yard after completion
25-year workmanship warranty, transferable to new owners
💰 Most residential replacements range $8,500–$18,000 depending on size and material. Free estimate — no obligation.

Storm Damage Repair — We Fight Your Insurance Battle

Georgia sits in one of the most active hail corridors in the United States. After a major storm, roofing companies flood in from out of state — many unlicensed, all disappearing before warranty claims hit. We've been here 16 years and we'll be here when you need us.

We document everything with high-resolution photos and thermal imaging, and we work directly with your adjuster to ensure your claim captures the full scope of damage. In most cases, homeowners pay only their deductible.

Complete insurance claim documentation package
Adjuster meetings — we'll be there in person
Temporary tarping to prevent interior water damage
Experience with Allstate, State Farm, USAA, Travelers, and all major insurers
Zero out-of-pocket when claim is approved (beyond deductible)

Roof Repair — The Real Fix, Not a Band-Aid

When you've got a leak, you need someone who'll find the source — not just slap caulk on the nearest shingle and hope for the best. We use thermal imaging and moisture meters to locate hidden water intrusion, then fix the root cause.

Most repairs can be completed the same day we inspect. We'll give you an honest assessment: if your roof has a few more years of life, we'll repair it. If it's gone, we'll tell you that too — straight.

Thermal imaging leak detection
Flashing replacement and resealing
Missing or blown-off shingle replacement
Valley repair and waterproofing
Pipe boot and vent flashing repair
Emergency tarping and temporary weatherproofing
💰 Most repairs range $250–$1,200. We'll quote before we start, always.

Common Questions

Answers Before You Ask

How long does a full roof replacement take?

+

Most residential replacements are completed in a single day. Larger homes or complex roof designs (multiple valleys, steep pitch, dormers) may take 1.5–2 days. We'll give you a realistic timeline before we start, not after.

Do I need to be home during the installation?

+

You don't need to be home the whole day, but we ask that someone be available at the beginning to confirm any last-minute details and at the end for the final walkthrough with Marcus. Most homeowners head to work as normal.

What does "storm damage" actually cover with insurance?

+

Most homeowner policies in Georgia cover wind and hail damage to your roof. Age and wear are not covered. The tricky part is documenting damage in a way the adjuster can't dispute — that's where we come in. We've helped hundreds of homeowners recover full replacement costs after storm events.

How do I know if I need a repair or a full replacement?

+

The honest answer: it depends on the age of the roof, the extent of damage, and the cost-effectiveness of repair vs. replace. If your roof is under 15 years old and has isolated damage, repair usually makes sense. If it's over 20 years and showing granule loss, multiple leak points, or widespread storm damage, replacement is typically the smarter investment. We'll tell you which honestly — with photos to back it up.

Are you licensed and insured in Georgia?

+

Yes. Summit Ridge Roofing holds a valid Georgia Contractor's License (License #RC117504), carries $2M in general liability insurance, and maintains full workers' compensation coverage for every employee. We'll provide proof of insurance before any job begins — and you should demand the same from any contractor you hire.

What warranty do you offer?

+

Every roof replacement comes with a 25-year written workmanship warranty from Summit Ridge Roofing — this covers any installation defects, regardless of the material warranty. Your shingles also carry a manufacturer warranty of 30–lifetime depending on product. Both warranties are transferable to future homeowners, which adds real value when you sell.
