Our Story
Marcus Reid started Summit Ridge with two employees and a truck. Today we're 24 people strong — and Marcus still answers his own phone.
The Beginning
Marcus Reid grew up in Marietta. His father was a carpenter, his uncle a general contractor — he learned early that a job worth doing is worth doing completely. After eight years working for some of the largest roofing companies in Georgia, he realized most of them cared more about volume than craft.
In 2008 — the worst year in recent memory to start a business — Marcus founded Summit Ridge Roofing with a philosophy that was almost absurdly simple: do every job like it's your own house. Don't cut corners. Don't subcontract to crews you haven't trained yourself. Don't disappear when something goes wrong.
Sixteen years later, that philosophy has produced 3,200+ roofs, a 4.9-star Google rating, and a client base that refers friends and family without being asked. Our newest hires include two people whose parents were Summit Ridge customers in 2011.
We're not the biggest roofing company in Metro Atlanta. We're not trying to be. We're trying to be the one you'd recommend to your neighbor without hesitation.
Start with a Free InspectionWhat We Stand For
We'll tell you when you don't need a new roof. Honest assessment builds the kind of trust that makes people send their neighbors to us six years later.
Every job has a named supervisor. No pointing fingers between subcontractors. If something isn't right, you call Marcus — not a 1-800 number.
We install roofs the manufacturer's way, not the fast way. Our crews are trained in-house, and no shortcut passes our final inspection.
We hire locally, donate to Marietta schools, and participate in local disaster relief every time Georgia takes a hit. These are our neighbors' homes.
The People Behind the Roofs
We introduce every crew member by name at the start of every job. These aren't strangers — they're your neighbors too.
